Saturday, June 21, 2008, the BIG Festival
For the first time, a 2.5 km section of Bloor Street West, from Christie to Lansdowne, was closed to become a car-free space for a day of fun, games and art. There were more than 400 tables of hand made arts and crafts, and community information. There were two stages with eight hours each of local entertainment. Attendance was estimated at more than 100,000 for the day.
